3 reasons to join a diet membership website

1. The Support
In my opinion, membership websites offer much better support than free dieting sites. I find that I can post in the forums of free websites and have my question answered quickly, but the problem is that the answers are not always complete. I get a lot of information or advice that's all over the place in the free web forums.

Nothing wrong with that, but it's hard to know who to listen to and I find myself doing a lot of extra research to get answers. Research is a good idea no matter who you're taking advice from, but I find that there are much more people who are qualified to answer my questions when I post on a paid membership site.

2. Professional advice
Input from people who know what they are talking about is priceless! As I said earlier, I'm a big fan of research but I don't like getting caught up in it. It's nice when your answers come from people who are professionals because they are a foundation you can rely on.

Many Doctors and Nutritionists are paid to answer questions in forums. These are people that are "in the know" when it comes to answering questions about health and dieting. Many times I find my exact question has been answered already in the forums of a lot of membership sites.

Another thing is that I've had some rude responses sometimes when I post in the free sites. In the paid sites I never run into this problem. People are generally helpful but sometimes they'll jump on your case just for posting a question that's already been answered.

If I post a question that's already been answered on a paid forum, other members will simply re-answer my question or direct me to where I need to go. Members in private forums are polite about posting and personally I can't stand it when people are rude on the internet!

3. Personal Mentorship
There are many great tools at the online sites and I find they are generally more useful than the free website tools. Many of these programs help you to create a good customized plan that fits your lifestyle and personality. You can also choose to share these tools with others and have dieting partners or mentors if you like.

I went through a time when this was a great thing to rely on. Weight tracking and reporting tools for example, really helped me the few times I went off the wagon. Many of these tools helped me set and formalize my goals which kept me in check when I left the path. I find it's important to use the online tools help reach your goals because they make your goals more concrete.
